Meet Claire, our timid donkey, with a heartwarming tale of rescue and redemption.

 

Claire was rescued from slaughter February 2023. After being run through auction and not being bid on, Claire was at the last stop before being shipped to Canada. When we saw her online we knew there was no way we were letting this young donkey go through any more trauma. Just a few days later she was shipped from Ohio to NJ, and now gets to live her best life here with us.

 

Claire can be shy to people she doesn’t know but once she warms up to you she will happily stand for scritches and rubs!
